About Rapamatics
Be prepared to take notes little ones. The time has come to shut up, slap on your headphones and listen to some new fresh sounds. This is music that will move you, music that will shake you and music that sounds like it should be coming straight out of Los Angeles or New York. Calling the small town of Grand Prairie Alberta, Canada home, this is the story of Rapamatics.
Born Kevin Emo, Rapamatics got his start at an early age. Motivated by his mother, who was a singer in a church choir, and influenced by the likes of Maestro Fresh Wes and LL Cool J Rapamatics began creating music at the tender age of 16. Together with his then partner Darren 'Dopestylez' Hammett, the two would form Blizzard Extortion. Using this project as a learning block, the group would expand and reform under the name EXTENT , which saw this young MC opening for Swollen Members (Battleaxe Records) at the Kat Walk in Red Deer Alberta in front of 2,500 people.
In 2005 Extent would part ways leaving Rapamatics to go his own road. Since then this young MC brimming with poise, determination and wicked talent has been quietly building his reputation, constructing his songs and learning his craft. Rapamatics has also been collaborating with other talented MC's such as Richard "H20" Waters. Recently Rapamatics has also reunited with his longtime friend, mentor and collaborator Troy "Ratix" Radics and the pair have begun work on a new record. Big things are on the horizon with a planned album release for late 2007 and video and touring plans for 2008. Be on the lookout kids! You've been warned!
